Singapore Management University wins ICCMCC 2015
On Friday the 22nd of May 2015, the finals of the ICC Moot Court Competition 2015 took place in Courtroom 1 of the International Criminal Court (ICC). The three finalists were the teams of National Law University, Jodhpur (India), Leiden University (the Netherlands) and Singapore Management University (Singapore). All three teams pleaded extraordinarily well. After a very nerve-wrecking wait, ICC Judge Howard Morrison, and ICC Legal Officers Mr. Philipp Ambach and Ms. Savina Savidis came with the announcement that Singapore Management University is the winner of the ICC Moot Court Competition 2015! Leiden University pleaded itself to the position of 1st runner-up and National Law University, Jodphur placed itself as 2nd runner-up.
The announcement and exchange of awards concluded a long week of pleading, exploring the international tribunals and courts based in The Hague, master classes and above all, making new friends. The ICCMCC Organizing Team would like to thank all the participants for all their efforts, enthusiasm and their contribution towards making this edition of the ICCMCC 2015 a huge success!
