The Organizing Committee of IBA ICCMCC takes immense pride in introducing the IBA ICCMCC 2023 Booklet, offering an overview of the latest edition of the Competition. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our partners and sponsors who have supported us in making history during the 10th edition of the Competition
Over the years, the Competition has adapted to various formats in response to societal shifts. The 2023 edition witnessed a return to an in-person format in The Hague after two years of being conducted online as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Contemporary developments also served as inspiration for this year’s case, centered around ‘ecocide’ before the ICC.
The Booklet highlights each participating Team along with their Sponsors. A dedicated section is reserved for the Rankings of the top 27 Teams, determined by their scores in the Preliminary Rounds, as well as the qualifying Teams for the Advanced Rounds.
Awards are distributed based on the Preliminary Rounds’ scores, showcasing a diverse range of Teams clinching victories in multiple categories this year. Additionally, Special Mentions are bestowed upon those who exhibited exceptional dedication to the Competition experience and the art of advocacy in the face of formidable challenges.
Naturally, the success of the Competition is greatly indebted to the enthusiastic and committed professionals who diligently assessed the Teams’ written abilities as Evaluators and their oral skills as Judges. Likewise, the seamless progression of the Rounds owes much to the remarkable efforts of all the Bench Clerks who contributed.
